Security
Security and privacy
Law firms and in-house legal teams often handle confidential and sensitive material. Before LexActa.Cloud is used on live matters, we walk through security, privacy, and attorney oversight with the firm. Specific terms are agreed in writing.
What we cover at kickoff
- What happens to uploaded documents
- How long material and results are retained
- Whether client material is used for model training
- Which AI, cloud, and infrastructure providers are used
- Where processing geographically takes place
- Encryption in transit and at rest
- Who can access the material
- Logging
- Backups
- Support access
- Data processing agreement
- Deletion and retention periods
- How the attorney's human review is ensured
How we describe ourselves
We don't make absolute security claims on this website — such as "nothing is ever stored," "the tool is one hundred percent secure," or "a review can never contain an error." Language like that is only used once it has been technically verified for the full data flow, and then as part of the written agreement.
LexActa.Cloud delivers a structured work product for the attorney's own judgment, not an automated legal conclusion. The legal judgment and review of the result are always made by the responsible attorney.
